Work has been completed on a £1.5 million refurbishment programme at the 209-bed Apex City of London Hotel, and a multi-million pound refurbishment programme at Apex Waterloo Place Hotel.
The nine month project at Apex City of London Hotel, beginning on 20 August 2018, finishing on 4 March 2019, saw the hotel’s public areas and largest meeting room given a makeover – with the addition of 30 new bedrooms, a new stylish restaurant and state of the art spa incorporated into the property for guests to the City and locals alike.
A complete transformation of the hotel’s existing bedrooms now allows guests to experience a relaxing Scandinavian inspired, colour palette with stylish grey and muted yellow soft furnishing, alongside refurbished spacious bathroom facilities.
The hotel’s main lobby and reception have also been fully refurbished to create a luxurious and stylish environment for guests entering the hotel, while the hotel’s main meeting room has been upgraded – providing first-class facilities for delegates which Apex Hotels is renowned for.
Meanwhile in Edinburgh, Apex Waterloo Place Hotel located in the New Town, has also just recently undergone a multi-million pound refurbishment, which sees all 184-bedrooms completely renovated and beautifully finished to a four star standard. The refurbishment, which began on 19 November 2018, came to close on 15 April 2018, and saw work on all the existing bedrooms, plus the addition of two new Duplex Suites, offering guests a luxurious oasis of calm in the heart of Edinburgh.
The new suites, spread over two floors, feature stylish dark blue velvet sofas and chrome finished soft furnishings, along with the Apex Hotels’ famously comfortable king-sized bed and a luxurious marble effect bathroom.
Angela Vickers, Chief Executive Officer, Apex Hotels said: “Our strong track record in the four-star market can only be achieved through investment in our existing portfolio, as well as providing excellent customer service and brand standards.
“We demonstrated our commitment to providing the best possible facilities for our guests by investing £48.5 million in the brand new Apex City of Bath Hotel in 2017. By carrying out an additional £12 million of refurbishment work on our existing properties, including Apex City of London and Ape Waterloo Place, we are improving the experience for our guests – and ensuring they receive the warmer welcome that Apex Hotels is known for.”
